Simulation-only prep football analytics: Elo/Glicko ratings for 1,328 schools, a college-rules paper sportsbook, and a matchup engine that prices any two teams from a shareable link. No real-money wagering.

About This Project

Full-stack sports-analytics product covering 1,328 high-school programs. A Python engine ingests lawfully obtainable public data (school names, classifications, districts, colours, notable alumni), rates teams with Elo and Glicko, and simulates games with a possession-based score model calibrated against real football's key-number distribution (margins of 3 and 7). On top sits a paper sportsbook layer with a tick-grid odds engine, hold vs. overround maths, parlays priced from the joint distribution rather than by multiplying legs, teasers, LMSR risk limits, and closing-line-value tracking — with AST-level compliance tests that refuse any money primitive from entering the package. The front door is /matchup: price any two schools straight from ratings, with a link that carries the verdict in its Open Graph card. Contributed real results flow through an authenticated reviewer console and are always shown separately from simulated numbers. 1,796 backend tests, weekly rating rebuilds on a Railway cron, staging and production environments, and a seed deck for a $235k raise.
